Trump Honors Stallone, Kiss, Gloria Gaynor and More with Kennedy Center Medals at White House Ceremony

In a celebratory ceremony at the White House, United States President Donald Trump presented the prestigious Kennedy Center medal to a select group of acclaimed artists recognized for their outstanding contributions to the performing arts.

According to a report from Oxu.Az, this year’s honorees included legendary rock band Kiss, iconic actor Sylvester Stallone, Grammy-winning singer Gloria Gaynor, British stage and screen star Michael Crawford, and country music legend George Strait.

The atmosphere was marked by both nostalgia and admiration as President Trump paid tribute to each recipient. While presenting the award to Stallone, Trump remarked:

“My friend is a distinguished person, truly one of the great movie stars. Their number has now dwindled.”

The President went on to lament the decline of actors he considers worthy of the “legend” status in today’s film industry, suggesting that contemporary cinema has far fewer figures who match the star power of artists like Stallone.

The ceremony highlighted the administration’s continued emphasis on celebrating cultural icons whose work has shaped American and global entertainment.
